Railroad locomotive start-up batteries SE type

SE type railroad locomotive start-up batteries are designed to work at starting an internal combustion engine locomotive main generator as well as at power control systems and with lighting. Compact and robust internal and external construction guarantees their durability and resilience. Positive plates have a specially reinforced structure that is designed to work in particularly difficult conditions. To ensure the highest durability and resistance of the batteries they are placed in metal boxes with a transport handles. Railroad locomotive start-up batteries SE type is a product that provides a stable and long- lasting source of power even in the toughest conditions.

SE-type starting battery consists of two series-connected three-cell blocks. Each cell consists of two parallel blocks of grid plates negative and positive plates. Sets forming a cell are placed in adjacent chambers of the block, where the partition has perforations to allow electrolyte circulation. Each team creates a set of 12 positive s and 13 negative plates.

Plates are separated by microporous separators.

Cells connected in series connectors are lead-acid guided out over the surface of the lids.

Block and the lid are made of polypropylene. Lids closing each chambers are sealed with a special acid-resistant mass. . Filling ports are closed by ventilation valves. SE battery casing is a corrosion-resistant metal box.
