GEL Batteries

Gel Stationary Batteries

Gel battery is a type of lead-acid battery with a sulfuric acid gelled electrolyte.
Sulfuric acid is mixed with a silica forms in a mass consistence of gel.
The gel batteries used grids made of lead alloys without antimony.
Each gel-cell battery has a one-way self-sealing valve which opens in case of increased pressure inside the battery and release gases outside protecting the housing from bursting.
Gel batteries uses a recombination process which eliminates the need for adding water.

Gel Battery Advantages

  • does not require a special room with ventilation
  • work buffer are characterized by long life
  • for cyclic operation are characterized by high number of cycles (loading - unloading)
  • does not require constant maintenance or refilling of electrolyte
  • conduct heat very well generated by battery at a flow of current
  • increased the maximum battery power due to low internal resistance.
  • low self-discharge ensures trouble-free storage battery

OPzV Batteries

The PowerSafe® OPzV range of valve regulated lead-acid batteries uses a proven combination of gel and tubular technologies to offer a very high level of reliability. These single cells benefit from an optimised plate design that gives capacities in excess of the DIN standard values. ...
