AGM Batteries

In AGM - (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries the electrolyte is trapped in the separators of glass fiber with a high porosity. AGM batteries are sealed batteries and thus can operate in any position.
Under normal operating conditions AGM do not emit gases, due to non- leakage construction in use are safe and harmless to the environment (there is no danger of scalding with sulfuric acid). Due to the fact that they do not emit gases do not require a special room with ventilation. They have self-sealing one-way valve, which opens in case of increase of pressure inside the battery and releases the gases outside of the container to protect against explosion. Maintenance-free batteries use recombination process or chemical reactions by which oxygen and hydrogen generated by overcharging the battery in a classic, they are expelled into the atmosphere, the battery remains in the form of water and eliminate the need for its replenishment.

The advantages of AGM batteries:

- Lower purchasing costs compared to counterparts in gel technology
- High current yield with discharges of large currents in a short time,
- Smaller capacity batteries can be used for discharges higher currents
