Since 2008, BATER has had a modern assembly/production plant at its disposal.
In accordance with its primary production profile, the workshop specializes in boxes for all types of traction batteries and rackings for the stationary batteries. We also cover in a fluidyzation process metal pieces and details.

Protection of boxes from corrosion, electrolyte operation and electrical discharge is accomplished by coating the box with a layer of polyethylene.  To meet the needs of the market for corrosion protection, we developed a unique and innovative fluidization method.  The polyethylene layer protects the applied surface from undesirable chemical reactions under aggressive environmental conditions.  The layer’s high mechanical resistance, elasticity and high insulation resistance guarantee safety of use for many years.

Prior to fluidization, boxes are cleaned in an automated process using the most modern rotary, spray/abrasive cleaners.

Fluidyzation Technology

We have at our disposal a modern and unique fluidization technology. Our involvement in the service market for industrial anti-corrosion solutions has met with considerable success.
Thanks to our application of surface cleaning processes involving fluidization, we are able to create very favorable operating conditions, protecting covered surfaces from undesirable chemical reactions, and imparting them with high mechanical resistance and elasticity. Our treated surfaces are characterized above all by highly effective insulation against aggressive conditions, including acids and alkalis, and are fully guaranteed for many years.
Immersion method particles are in constant motion throughout the fluidal phase, and pass continually throughout the whole of the container and the submerged part, creating the impression that the layer is behaving like a boiling liquid.
The fluidization coating submersion method for the application of a protective layer made of artificial materials is used wherever there is contact with an aggressive environment.
The hardening of the polyethylene is an irreversible chemical reaction. During the hardening process, three-dimensional particles are created, which are extremely resistant to the effects of solvents, acids and alkalis.

In this process, we produce a homogeneous polymer layer with a thickness of 0.4 to 1.5 mm. For permanent connection of plastic and metal all the details before fluidization are subjected to shot blasting machine, rotary blast cleaning shot-blasting.
Maximum external dimensions of the coated 1400x1400x1400 mm. and in case of long narrow pieces max. length is 2400 mm. Unit maximum weight of coated parts is 350 kg.

 Coating layer benefits:

Excellent corrosion protection. Retail covered with such coating achieves the highest resistance during aging tests carried out in the salt chamber.                
Very good dielectric and electrical properties. Dielectric strength above 7 kV is achieved by a coating.            
Very good chemical resistance. Performs a  high chemical resistance in the pH range from 1 to 10. The coating is resistant to most acids and bases and salt solutions and alcohols.
Excellent resistance to all weather conditions.        
Recommended operating temperature range for a covered detail is  between  - 30 ÷ 70 ° C.
Softening point of the coating  is about 100 ° C.
Ability to cover a layer of polymer parts with complicated shapes.
High impact strength even at low temperatures.
Good resistance to abrasion.
Minor damage to the coating can be repaired.
Apart from the roughness of the surface we get a shiny, smooth and very nice coating.

The hardness of the coatings obtained up to 56 ShD.
Very good resistance of the coating to damage caused by stones or gravel (stone chip damage).

We have a modern modular DEMMELER assembly-welding tables providing quality control and performance of manufactured parts on every stage of production.
